I.
There's a monster in my closet. You have come into possession of a strange artifact, left in the corner of the public library. It seems innocent enough. A small treasure box, or perhaps a statue that feels somehow familiar. But as soon as you pick it up, you know that the object can read your thoughts. Somehow it knows you. And somehow, it knows your secrets. Maybe you've hurt someone. Maybe you left them behind, or did something unspeakable that you haven't told anyone about. Now your worst fears are coming to life.

Ghosts of dead friends or monsters you failed to get rid of are creeping out of the woodwork. They start as shadows--maybe other people don't notice them at first--but soon they are much more physical, monsters roaming the streets and attacking innocents. Or friends long dead calling out for you to join them. They just want peace. If you just help them, feed them... Maybe there's a way to break the cursed object. If you really want to. The question is, do you?

II.
Water, water, everywhere. The best way to spend a hot summer day is on the lake, right? Well, now there's something in the water, lurking in the depths beneath your feet. A fish. A snake so large it shouldn't exist. The raft you decided to use as a swimming platform isn't as sturdy as it could be, and without drinking water, you can only last so long. But the shore is far away. Can you swim it before the silhouette below comes up to claim you? Maybe you can work together with the other people on the raft to get to safety. If one person acts as a distraction... but you couldn't ask them to do that. Right?

III.
Bring Your Own Death. Have a monster or creepy threat from your canon you'd like to invade the town? Did you really want to reenact a little bit of Alan Wake? Haunting Ground? Make up your own scenario or combine any of the above!
